The Parkview
A clean, geometric pool and corner spillover spa finished in an ornate blue-and-white cement tile, framed by a bold desert landscape and a lighting system that completely transforms the yard after dark.
The Overview
This backyard centers on a rectangular pool paired with a raised, corner spillover spa, both finished in a striking blue-and-white ornate cement tile that gives the whole space a distinct, custom look. A raised bond wall behind the pool sends water down through sheer-descent scuppers finished in the same tile pattern. Around the water, we built out a full desert landscape with ocotillo, columnar and barrel cacti, and agave set in decomposed granite, added a turf lawn for everyday use, and finished the deck in cream pavers. A programmable lighting package ties it all together — color-changing pool and spa lighting paired with amber uplighting on the cacti and pathway lights along the planting beds.

An Ornate Tile Water Feature
The raised wall behind the pool sends water down through sheer-descent scuppers, all finished in a blue-and-white cement tile pattern that gives the feature a custom, one-of-a-kind look rather than a standard plaster finish.
A Corner Spillover Spa
Tucked into the corner and clad in the same tile as the water feature wall, the spa shares its waterline with the pool so the two read as one connected design rather than separate add-ons.
Desert Landscape With Personality
Ocotillo, saguaro-style columnar cacti, barrel cacti, and agave are set into decomposed granite beds along the perimeter wall, giving the yard genuine desert character instead of a generic gravel-and-shrub treatment.
Lighting That Transforms the Space
A color-changing lighting system shifts the pool and spa through blues and purples after dark, while amber uplights on the cacti throw dramatic shadows against the perimeter wall — the yard looks like a completely different space once the sun goes down.
